Prospective Freshmen Information Meetings
Academic advisors from the Schools of Integrative Biology and Molecular and Cellular Biology host in-person and virtual information meetings periodically throughout the year. During our information meetings, current Biology students will also be present to share their experiences and answer your questions. Email prospective@mcb.illinois.edu or prospective@ib.illinois.edu for times and days of upcoming meetings or follow the UIUC admissions page for dates of prospective Orange and Blue days in the fall.
Admitted Freshmen Student Meetings
Please join us on campus during the Admitted Student Illini Days in 2023. Biology will be hosting information sessions. You will hear from academic advisors as well as current UIUC students.
Biology specific Meetings and Facility Tours
The Biology Instructional Programs offer a limited number of one-on-one in-person or virtual prospective/admitted student appointments, with a member of our instructional program. Our staff is available to answer questions about the curriculum and career options for students in Biology. To schedule this appointment, please call (217) 333-6774. Be prepared to discuss possible dates and times with our receptionist.

MCB Leaders are a small group of accomplished students in MCB who are eager to help current and prospective students learn more about the University of Illinois, the College of LAS and the Molecular and Cellular Biology major. IB Peer Leaders participate in many types of recruiting and informational events on campus to provide a student voice for Integrative Biology. IB Peer Leaders are pursuing many different career paths but all enjoy talking about the major and helping prospective students better understand what Integrative Biology has to offer.
